Hi, I am Gabriel Borin. I am a musician with a multi-branched career bridging performance, composition, and music technology. As an upright and electric bassist, I navigated between classical and popular genres, having performed with several symphony orchestras in the United States and with award-winning jazz ensembles, such as the Vitor Arantes Quarteto, in Brazil. Alongside my performance career, I worked for years in audio engineering, in contexts of live mixing, livestreaming, and studio production. Currently, my creative work focuses on electronic music and sound synthesis, exploring the intersections of computational aesthetics, sound design, and music performance.

Contents

I offer one-on-one online lessons on music performance (both electric and upright bass), music theory, arranging and composition, and music technology topics such as basics of digital sound & recording, DAWs, sound design, and synthesis.

I can teach in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

Duration and features

Each session lasts approximately 1 hour, and includes:

• Availability to ask questions and receive feedback via chat or email;
• Access to the material made during the lesson;
• Session recording uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted video;

Rates

I tend to separate the sessions rates for those inside and outside Latin America, in hope to make these sessions accessible to anyone who is interested. I am willing to negotiate prices if needed be. Contact me so we can talk about it, and make the necessary accomodations.
